Fine Art Prints

About the Art -

Each Fine Art image by Kyle Kephart is available for print in various sizes and materials. Every print is done to archival quality with inks, papers, and metal of museum grade. They come signed on the back along with their edition number out of 42 total in the edition. Along with the print will be a certificate of authenticity and a hand written thank you note.

Face Mounted Acrylic -

This gives prints a very modern and vibrant look which is great for the home. Face mounting (Diasec) is a process that involves applying an optically clear adhesive to the face of the print then adhering the print to acrylic, otherwise known as plexiglass.  Once the print is adhered to the acrylic, a backing material is adhered to the back of the print to protect the print and provide rigidity to the art.  The backer also provides the surface to adhere the hanging and floating hardware which provides that modern, floating off the wall look.

There are some additional benefits to this style of displaying prints. Since the print is adhered to the acrylic it is protected from gas-based fading over time. The acrylic will also help to a small level prevent UV fading on the print over time with it being rated for 100 years archival quality and 200 years in dark storage. The final result is a richly colored print with incredible detail that has extraordinary longevity.

Aluminum Dye Sublimation -

You've never seen a more brilliant and impressive print! Colors are vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. Take into consideration the room you are displaying the art in and whether or not you plan to light the print with track lighting. If the image is going into a room with a lot of window light I can print the image on a matte metal which is a nice hybrid option.

The dye becomes a part of the metal allowing for a metallic sheen to the surface characteristic only to this style of printing. These qualities of metal prints have made them a benchmark for high-end printing. With dye sublimation, a coating is applied to the aluminum which hardens to form a wear layer on the aluminum. When heated, this coating softens slightly allowing for the dyes to be fused into it; when the coating cools, the dyes are locked in. The durability of HD Aluminum Prints comes from this two-step process of printing then sublimating.

Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 -

This is one of the world’s most popular papers and the valued all-rounder for high-quality FineArt inkjet printing. The white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. This paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail.

This photo paper is world renowned for a reason, and it becomes apparent when you see in person. There is a sort of density and quality that radiates from the print itself. If you are looking to hang a more classic looking image on your wall in a frame this paper print has earned my highest level of recommendation.

Fuji Deep Matte -

It's unique lusterless surface provides elegant color reproduction with subtlety and warmth and also having a less reflective, natural look, making it a wonderful choice for art reproduction. With a true matte finish, Fuji Deep Matte paper offers bright whites and wide color range with a smooth texture. This paper also has the highest level of silver halide image stability.

This paper's ability to control the light of the room it is in is unrivaled if it is not possible to light the print separate from the rest of the space. There is a softness to the print that is subtle yet beautiful. I really enjoy these prints as a second option to the Hahnemuhle for those who would like a more economical paper print.
